Samuel Wilkinson

Samuel Wilkinson is a London-based product and industrial designer with a talent for creating fascinating things that combine a dynamic approach to form and function with a devotion to fine detail and craftsmanship. He graduated from Ravensbourne College of Art & Design in 2002, having won a host of design awards, including the RSA award and D&AD New Blood. After five years working for consultancies including Tangerine, Fitch: London, PearsonLloyd and Conran, he set up his own studio in 2008. Since then, Sam has blazed a trail across the international design scene, winning particular acclaim for his Plumen 001 light bulb and the hand-blown Vessel series of glass lamps. Plumen 001 collected the grand prizes ‘Design of the Year’ and ‘Product of the Year’ from the London Design Museum, also receiving the coveted D&AD Black Pencil. His designs have been published worldwide and are included in the permanent collections of the MoMA, the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt collection, the Design Museum in Helsinki and the V&A.Samuel Wilkinson is a London-based product and industrial designer with a talent for creating fascinating things that combine a dynamic approach to form and function with a devotion to fine detail and craftsmanship. WHAT WE DID FOR Samuel Wilkinson

In 2015, we developed a publicity strategy for the Ommatidium (the Shoreditch landmark that Samuel created with neuroscientist Beau Lotto) and Mòltair (the watch he designed for the new watch brand Nomad), communicating the purpose, scope and significance of both projects.
