The British Council is the United Kingdom's international organisation dedicated to enhancing cultural relations and expanding educational opportunities. As part of this remit, the Council’s Architecture, Design and Fashion department arranges residencies for British designers in a number of disciplines, all over the world. These are not only very effective in nurturing international relationships and building networks, but also highly beneficial for the designers in improving their skills, enhancing their personal development and broadening the scope of their practice. In 2015, placement locations included Helsinki, the Atlas Mountains of Morocco and Brazil.
Zetteler took charge of PR strategy and social media management for 2015’s international design residencies in Brazil, Morocco and Finland. Our work included reviewing past PR approaches, attending and live-tweeting the ADF’s Sheffield Design Week event and establishing best-practice guidelines for future campaigns.
