Over the past 15 years, the 70+-strong team has worked in 20 countries, completing dozens of projects and contributing to numerous design concepts and competitions. Anchored in the principles of the ‘creative reuse of cities’ – a regenerative architectural ethos grounded in reuse, community, cultural heritage and contextual sensitivity – it has become the Czech Republic’s leading international studio, and widely regarded as one of Europe’s most forward-thinking practices.

With offices in London, Prague, Brno and Bratislava, the studio’s work spans residential projects, mixed-use masterplans, cultural landmarks and large-scale transformations of public space. Across all scales, its approach is defined by a deep consideration of how context can respond to contemporary needs.

Thoughtful and prolific, CHYBIK + KRISTOF published its first monograph, Crafting Character, with FRAME in 2023, and has been featured at the London Festival of Architecture, the Venice Architecture Biennale and many other international platforms. Recent flagship projects include the Lahofer Winery in Dobšice, the Nusle Brewery residential neighborhood in Prague, Mendel’s Greenhouse in Brno, and the self-initiated redevelopment of the Zvonařka Central Bus Terminal. Its latest project, the Jihlava Sports and Cultural Urban Arena, demonstrates the studio’s expertise in embedding major public landmarks into the urban fabric while creating generous, accessible public space for all city dwellers to enjoy.
