Dan Pearson Studio creates landscapes and gardens that are shaped by context, balancing an artistic eye with deep-rooted horticultural knowledge. The award-winning studio has built a reputation through a global roster of projects ranging from intimate courtyards to major urban-realm interventions.
Whether it’s shaping rural estates, curating flora in public parks or creating restorative and educational green spaces, the studio’s approach is defined by naturalistic planting and a focus on the aesthetic and emotional resonance of plants. Always engaging with a site on its own terms, the studio works to no preconceived template, attending to the landscape to bring people closer to the soulful, restorative qualities of nature.
Practising as a landscape and garden designer since 1987, founder Dan Pearson is behind award-winning show gardens at the Chelsea Flower Show, was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours and received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Society of Garden and Landscape Designers. For the past 20 years, he has been one of the UK’s most loved gardening writers, with a long-standing column in the Observer, and his widely loved online platform Dig Delve.
