Having a local welcome you to a destination and inform you of the best a city has to offer always beats scrolling through travel websites for off-the-beaten-track gems. In Bergen, one family have spent three generations meticulously creating hotels and restaurants that provide their patrons with an open-arms welcome to the city and all the information you could need for the duration of your stay. This is no cookie cutter, identikit hotel chain. Each of the De Bergenske hotels are completely different in history, architecture and design. They are located in specially-chosen areas of the city in order to provide visitors with the best possible experience of Bergen.
Zetteler were particularly keen to join forces with De Bergenske. Not only are we in love with the city, but by working with the family, director Sabine Zetteler was able to utilise her previous experience working with sumptuous hotel getaway company Mr & Mrs Smith. So far Zetteler have launched three of the family’s five spectacular hotels. We love working with a company that has such a rich and beguiling history as well as a good eye for design. A deep love for Norwegian design has been at the forefront of Zetteler since the very beginning, so to be so entrenched with it by way of this handful of impeccably designed hotels is nothing short of an honour. And, of course, a perfect excuse to continually visit Bergen.
