East Bank
At the heart of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, East Bank is London’s newest culture and education quarter. It is a unique collaboration between five of the UK’s most revered international institutions: BBC Music Studios; London College of Fashion, UAL; Sadler’s Wells East; UCL; and V&A East Museum and Storehouse.
The creation of East Bank represents the single largest cultural investment by the Mayor of London and one of the capital’s most significant cultural projects since 1851. As well as attracting thousands of visitors from London and beyond with its rich event programme of cultural and entertainment, East Bank provides skills and jobs for local residents and brings more than 10,000 students to the site, cementing the capital’s reputation as a world leader in culture, education and innovation, and projected to create 2,500 jobs and £1.5 billion of economic benefit.
In summer 2026, East Bank presents The Music Is Black Festival – a celebration of Black British music that includes multiple events and programming across all five partner institutions, as well as four free curated festival weekends bringing together major artists with emerging talent.
