Nothing encourages creativity like the unexpected. When pandemic-induced lockdown knocked their industries for six, two East London studios – the vinyl graphic print and production house Puck Studio and interior-design practice InterestingProjects – put their heads, and skills, together and launched Good Measures. Conceived as an alternative to the austerely functional signage that has characterised the age of social distancing, Good Measures is a complete suite of vinyl wayfinding tools designed with warmth, playfulness and personality. The modular range includes easy-to-apply stickers that enable businesses to simply and quickly install navigation prompts for one-way systems, hand washing reminders, single-use lift notices, queue markers – every touch point you might need to operate a physical workspace post-Covid world. There are products for offices, schools, museums, pubs and restaurants – anywhere that might need to impose social-distancing measures. Whereas many post-Covid wayfinding systems can appear impersonal, alarmist and institutional, Good Measures is designed to be clear, informative and functional, while maintaining an engaging humanity.
We loved Good Measures’ stickers from the second we first saw them – which is why we approached the team and requested a set for the Zetteler office. One thing led to another, and now we’re delighted to be helping Puck and InterestingProjects share their brilliant new system with the countless businesses that can benefit from it.
