Established in 2009, architecture practice MWAI creates human spaces shaped by an appreciation for, and commitment to, craft and manual processes. Each project is the sum of numerous details, meticulously considered to create unique environments that relate to human needs. MWAI is a RIBA Chartered Practice with expertise in listed buildings and in navigating London’s estates. Their approach is one of deep respect for context and place. The practice carefully chooses high quality materials and craft processes, reimagined to reference the history of a property and restore, or reintroduce, details that fulfil our human need for beauty and nature in our surroundings. MWAI is always developing its experience and knowledge through academic research and higher-education tutoring, led by its founders and directors. As a teaching practice, its academic research informs – and is informed by – its work.
We first started working with MWAI to help them frame what they do; honing their tone of voice and giving clarity to the way in which they speak about their projects and approach. Now, we’re putting our efforts into raising the profile of this talented and discerning group of individuals, ensuring they’re on the radar of everyone who needs to know about them.
