Packaging artworks for transport
demands great care and, often, a great deal of non-recyclable material to protect
them en route. ROKBOX is the response.
Developed by a team who have spent
years working with the likes of Gagosian, Sotheby’s, Pace, Momart and the
Venice Biennale, the ingeniously designed, reusable crate is intended to
provide a secure, robust and weatherproof way to transport one or more works of
art at once without adding to landfill. ROKBOX’s team of art-world insiders and
packing specialists spent four years working on the design, aiming to create an
art-shipping solution that could become an industry-standard system for safely
packaging and transporting art – and reduce waste in the process.
ROKBOX is constructed using
recycled or recyclable materials wherever possible – eliminating the need for
single-use crates, bubble wrap, polythene and styrofoam. It is exceptionally
sturdy, protecting high-value artworks from any mishaps that might occur in
transit. Having bagged a ‘Best of the Best’ Red Dot Award in March 2019, ROKBOX
is now finalising its first range to include multiple sizes ahead of its
official launch in summer.
We love art, admire great design,
and aren’t so keen on planet-choking waste, so ROKBOX is a shoo-in for Zetteler’s
affections. We are thrilled to be supporting ROKBOX in promoting its upcoming
commercial launch this summer.
