Retrofit, Obviously!

With retrofit becoming firmly established as the preeminent solution to the climate crisis, the UK’s energy-inefficient housing stock, and the disproportionate carbon demands of construction, the National Retrofit Hub (NRH) has been working to enable and facilitate the local and equitable delivery of retrofit at scale across the country. 

A Community Interest Company (CIC), the NRH brings together and energises the retrofit community to drive forward policy, support best practice, and evolve the systems needed to create healthy homes and a secure, low-carbon future for all. 

Co-curated by Zetteler, “Retrofit, Obviously!” on Thursday 24 September, 9-5pm, is the NRH’s first national summit for everyone involved in retrofit, encompassing policymakers, community organisations, local authorities, housing providers, industry, finance organisations, health practitioners, academics and SMEs. By bringing together the whole retrofit community at the circular construction hub Tipping Point East in London's Royal Docks, the summit aims to shift the conversation from individual projects to a shared and scalable retrofit system that can be activated, strengthened, and sustained across the UK.

Zetteler is, and has been, actively involved with numerous architectural and community projects centred on retrofit, and is a vocal and seasoned advocate of sustainable practice in housing and the built environment. We are proud to share our experience, knowledge and network with the NRH team, shaping the programme to ensure the summit has a meaningful and transformative impact.
